Socialvibe and Pucci

Question, dolls...
Are you guys on Socialvibe? :)

It is the most amazing charity website where you pick your cause-mine is To Write Love On Her Arms, and your sponsor-mine is Marc Jacobs and just by posting it on your blog, myspace, facebook, twitter, whatever...you earn money for your cause. Done and done...we're all on at least one social networking site, so it's such an easy way to help others.

TWLOHA is a cause I am very passionate about but there are so many other causes to support from preventing animal cruelty (another one close to my heart), the Surfrider Foundation (another one <3) and the sponsors are amazing-They have tons of fashion and beauty sponsors (M.A.C, D&G, RVCA) or most Fortune 500 companies.

Ohhh yes, and the pink ball...they sent it to me as a marketing tool, I get that question a lot...so don't be dirty! :) (Photo Credit-Chelsea Taylor)

If you want to join, click on the "Join Now" thing up theeere (duh) and then we can be Socialvibe friends too haha! YAY. UNBEWEAVABLE :)

Switching gears-

Sooo I'm totally excited about this Pucci and Missoni post I keep thinking about writing-I was surrounded by vintage Pucci and Missoni at work yesterday and it's pretty much all I can think about. Vegas is approaching and I found the most amazing Pucci bikini's...stay tuned.

Monday Stranger Danger

Hi Dolls!! How are you? How were your weekends?

Mine was good...the bf and I always seem to find something to do. HA. To say the least. We're still in the meeting each others friends and family stage, so we knocked a lot of that kind of stuff out this weekend. Sunday, we kept it mellow...and it was my bright idea to rent The Strangers. So I usually don't get scared by movies, I think they're silly...but that was effing creepy! Is it totally necessary for them to say how it's "based on true events"?? As the bf reminded me, that could mean ANYTHING was true and is very, very vague but whatever, it makes it even more weird.

"Why are you doing this to us?"-Liv (love her, P.S.)
"Because you were home." -Psycho blonde chick in the mask. Like, duh.

Well, Okayyyy....perfect. That's comforting.

Does the time change completely mess you guys up too? It's so annoying, I feel like I'm totally jet lagged, except I barely traveled out of the bed yesterday. And it was still dark when he left for work this morning and I was seriously freaked out. I THINK him knocking on the sliding glass door right before he left might have had something to do with it...he's an angel like that. :)

Anyway, I can't think about it anymore, so going to my happy place... Fashion.

Have you guys seen this Alice + Olivia piece? I really, really want it, I think there's so much I could do with it. Cute, right?
I'm so excited to have a good week!
I hope you guys are having a great start to your week too...
xoxo,
Liz

WARNING-LOVEY DOVEY POST AHEAD

I'm so glad the week is almost over!!!!! It's been a rough one. Like super weird...not a fan. I think the Pit Bull and the Poodle threw me for a loop. See my sisters blog for info on that one. Livin the dream at our house for sure, man. Ay yi yi...

I need to focus more on the positive rather than the negative lately. I am extremely blessed and generally a super positive person but I guess we all have our moments, right?

2 things that make me extremely happy...

-The JOB. I just got a bunch of FREE designer clothing being hemmed and I will be posting pics ASAP. I even got some for the bf! He's gonna look hotter than usual, which is next to impossible.

-The BF. I am madly, crazy in love with one of the most amazing people I have ever met. He makes me laugh when I don't want to and he calls me out on my bullshit and just generally makes me want to be a better person. I could go on and on, but I won't. He's wonderful. Period.

So, to keep the cheese-tastic factor rolling, I made him a playlist but totally forgot to add one of the most important songs ever. LAME.

(Oh, P.S. Major Girl Crush on Beyonce. Like, I kiiinda want to have her babies. Immaculately, of course ha.)

Anyway...Beyonce's version of Ave Maria is so gorgeous and soothing and makes me all lovey dovey.

It's not just a Christmas song, either. My mom walked down the aisle to it when she married my dad. Obvi Beyonce put her own lyrical twist on it...and it really describes the way I feel about my bebe. Are you throwing up in your mouth yet? SORRY I WARNED YOU!! :) There's no video for the song yet, but listen...le sigh...
So I'm pretty busy tomorrow so this will count as my weekend post! We don't know what we're doing but it's going to be a good time, which we both need. Did someone say cheap wine night?!

Sorry if this post made you sick. I don't keep a journal or anything so this is it, and I needed to write this, it was cathartic. Sometimes I forget that lord knows how many people are reading it.

What are you doing this weekend? I hope it's fun...we deserve it, dolls!!! xo
Here's to a fabulous weekend and much better upcoming week!

Style It Out!...With the Hoff

Fashion shows are fun!

The pictures below are from one I did when I was Marketing Manager at Arden B...we held it at the Cooper Building in Downtown LA and it was fabulous. The signature cocktails I had the catering company come up with were even more fabulous, as you can see in the second picture. Open bar, much? Let's just say that if Elizabeth is planning it, there's going to be an open bar. I have my budget priorities in order HA.

Some of the girls from the Hills were there, Lauren and whatever her name is Audrina? Nicole, Paris...But the best BEST BEST was that David Hasselhoff's daughter is a big fan of Arden B...so the Hoff showed up with her. I don't think anyone could take their eyes off him. So bizarre.

So anyway, my bangs...what do you guys think? I'm thinking of getting them back. I have not discussed this with the bf (but he's reading this I'm sure, so hi baby what do you think?:))

I'm working a weird half day today later but I'm super excited because I'm styling out a photoshoot, which is def one of my top ten things to do in LIFE. I love working on photoshoots! When I was at Arden and it was campaign photoshoot time, my brand manager would yell "style it out, betch" and we would make a huge disaster in the studio until we had the perfect looks to present to the Executive Team in our meeting the next morning.

I always found it slightly amusing/annoying that a bunch of number crunchers wearing suits and ties would try to tell us what they liked and what they didn't. But we usually won the war.

So, last night, insomnia caused me to bug Istvan about blogging...so he did. I requested MAC shadows VS Chanel or Dior, and you guys need to read what he wrote. And see the picture.

He's totally hating on MAC (which was to be expected) but whateves, they don't pay my bills so much anymore, so I agree with a lot of what he says.

If you guys have any beauty questions and/or you just want a laugh, go to him.

Happy Thursday dolls! I am sooo looking forward to the weekend!
Besos,
Liz xoxo

I've missed YOU! And Awards aww

Hi Dolls!

Sorry for being so non-bloggy!!

I've had a bunch going on and haven't really felt that inspired. I've been kinda quiet in general, including online. You guys are so darling though, all the emails and facebooking to check on me was really sweet :)I'M HERE!

I'm excited to catch up on your blogs tonight, sorry for being such a loser with that too!

Sooooo new job #2 is AMAZING! UNBEWEAVABLE, even! :) I had to quit the one I got a few weeks ago because the dudes were a little too pervy for my taste. Everything happens for a reason though because #2 is FASHION FASHION FASHION!! I never would have found it if #1 wasn't a total waste.

I can't be too specific because A. I'm not sure I want everyone on the internet to know exactly where I work, and B. I'm still working on the media plan and I want to introduce it correctly, but I will tell you that as a FIDM graduate, this is EXACTLY what I went to school for and EXACTLY what I have always wanted to do. The high paying corporate jobs were nice, I'm not going to hate, but it's an absolutely insane feeling knowing that you are doing for a living what you would do for free.

AND I can stay in Orange County and not drive to L.A everyday!

So expect many more fashion blogs! From the front row...ohhhh how mysterious, right?

The fabulous Tanya at Captivate Me gave me an award!

Also, the lovely Belle at It's All Make Believe , Isn't It? gave me this adorable award!

Thank you SO MUCH...I'm pretty obsessed with both of their blogs, so I'm very flattered! I will pass them on soon, I promise :) I have a lot of blogs to catch up on!
I'm going to go check on my dolls now...I'm bored with talking about how FABULOUS MY JOB IS haha.

That and I seriously feel like I got ran over by a truck. Tonsils need to come out, and I'm putting it off after seeing what my sister went through. I think she actually said, "There's no way in hell you could handle this pain." AWESOME.

Besos y besos,
Liz XOXO
