He admittedly has the attention span of a baby gnat, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because he's the fiercest person in my life and I'm excited to share him with you!

Blown Away

One of the constant style inspirations in my life is Penelope Cruz as Mirtha Jung in Blow.
Deana at Dooder City even called me out on this! :) It's true though...good call woman!

It has nothing to do with the fact that yes, I am Colombian.

Unfortunately, just about all of the pictures of Penelope from the movie show heavy drug use, and lots of people look at my blog, so I'm not posting them because I don't condone drug use, kids, no matter how hot she looks...but honestly, if you aren't familiar with Mirtha Jungs style, you probably need to watch the movie anyway. It's definitely top 10, and if you haven't seen it, I'm going to have to reconsider our relationship! :)

Anyways, this isn't a movie post. P.S. Isn't her hair UNBEWEAVABLE?? K, moving right along...

The BF and I are going to Vegas next month...yessssss! And I just found out that straight from there we are driving to Mexico for a wedding. This coming from the couple who fell asleep to American Idol at 8pm last night. Ay yi yi.

This leads me to another post that pretty much piggybacks on my previous one. I have decided that I NEED all of the below or I simply cannot go. HAHA. Considering it's all from Gucci's Resort 2009 Collection, unless I win the lottery, not going to happen. But it's definitely my inspiration when I think of what I'm going TO WEAR.I'm really feeling the relaxed chicness of it all. Definitely channeling Mirtha. Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? :)

On another note, I dragged the bf to American Apparel last night to FINALLY get my liquid leggings and they didn't have them. Online only. Boo. Plus, that store disturbs the bf a little bit...he doesn't quite know what to make of it. Mildly amusing and majorly adorable at the same time.

I was on the verge of being over the perfect liquid legging hunt because I am NOT a big internet shopper. I'm definitely an instant gratification girl, which sucks because my darling friends have signed me up/invited me to all these fab online boutiques and I get emails everyday about sample sales, etc...but I just can't do it. Maybe I should start?

I was over the hunt until I saw this little Thomas Wylde ensemble on Net-A-Porter.

Those shoes are Lanvin, and they're amazing. But if it had been up to me...CB's baby.That heel is so hot...ridic.

I Carry It In My Heart

Not gonna lie. I'm not having the best day. I'm trying to shake it off though. Sometimes things don't always work out but I'm a firm believer that there is always something better right around the corner. (Talking about the new job...)

I did, however have a fabulous weekend. To say that I am a smitten kitten is SUCH an understatement. I don't know what it is, or how the whole love thing works...but when you know, you know. It's cliche, but whatever.

OH, So there's the shirt and jacket from V-Day...WHICH MY MOM WAS ABLE TO FIX! YAY MOMS! HI MOM! Love you! (She reads my blog at work :))

A little bit about our weeekend-prepare yourself...it gets REALLY exciting haha.

1. (Cheap) Wine night on Friday...fabulous.

2. Breakfast by the beach Saturday with my good friend, then a Rob and Big marathon in bed before going to meet my cousin at her amazing new beach house where we may or may not have consumed many many many alcoholic beverages with lots of fun people.

3. SUNDAY! BF brought me breakfast in bed where I remained watching "Lock-Up- New Mexico Penitentiary" for about 5 hours (I don't think I ever want to go to New Mexico, like EVER.) So then the BF goes to the grocery store and does laundry AND then he makes me dinner. How adorable is he?
Some things in my life are a tad stresstastic right now but he makes it better.

Fun Fact-this is what I look like when I'm checking your blogs or Facebook from my phone and my friends like to make fun of me using my stylus! They can suck it. It's a touch and the keyboard was made for wee little infant paws or something, and I already have small hands but it's too much of a pain.My favorite lovely Belle at It's All Make Believe, Isn't? sure knows how to make me laugh. She tagged me to do a new tag with the following rules-

"You take the second letter of your last name and write a poem beginning with that letter... " And scene. Hmmm. Right, right....

Well, I'm a lot of things, but a poet is not one of them, and TRUST me you would not want to read any of my attempts at poetry. I'm excited that I am officially an Independent Fashion Blogger!

Since my blog is kind of all over the place I wasn't sure if they were going to accept me! I will be more fashioney tomorrow I promise, darn it.

Today all I have to say about fashion is that my favorite article of clothing is my boyfriends Volcom T shirt. Smells like Aqua Di Gio and hot man. Sometimes that just trumps couture.

Domenico Vacca Fall 09...Proud BFF! And Weaves SAVE lives!

UM WOW. UNBEWEAVABLE NEWS UPDATE!

I just got an email on Facebook from my friend saying "I just heard on the news that a woman got shot while in her car and guess what saved her?? Her WEAVE! The bullet got caught in her weave and saved her. Hee hee. That is unbeweavable!"
Laughing. So. Hard.

Ok back to the serious post. Focusing my powers.

You guys are familiar with Istvan-Lives in NYC, I used to be his boss on a beauty launch that I...just don't want to talk about. HA. Since I'm based in Cali we had a phone/email boss/employee relationship that consisted of us talking a lot of smack on people and him harassing me for his expense checks...until I finally went to NYC and we met in the lobby of my hotel (The pretty Roosevelt), that was all decorated for Christmas and we basically fell in love in front of the ginormous Christmas tree...and ever since, BFF!

P.S. Apparently taking your "direct report" out at 2 am to Cafeteria in Chelsea for Lychee Martini's, waffles and maybe some fried oreo's and throwing it on the company AMEX is "AGAINST COMPANY POLICY." Just an FYI. :)

I don't work for that company anymore but we're still very close and he is a FIERCE makeup artist-he's worked for so many lines and has been an Account Exec for Clarins, etc...

I'm SO PROUD!!! He worked on the Domenico Vacca Fall 09 Show on Tuesday!!! Not going to lie, I wasn't too familiar with this designer besides what he does for Menswear (which is insane though, all men should dress like this), but I love it...I want one of those little black ruffley dresses-that I will NOT zip my motorcycle jacket up over. I also want one of those camel bags, perfect for traveling.


I love how soft the makeup and hair is...he did good, huh??

Oh, yes...Moment of silence for the chiffon top and the jacket. I have some kind of funky one-piece situation going on now...I guess the only time I can wear one is with the other. Two peas in a pod. Of course it's tricky getting on and off...I felt like I was a five year old when I took it off the first time..."arms up"...the bf had to help me. So amusing. I think it's time to retire both.

On a less tragic note, I received the cutest award from my love bug at Through The Looking Glass...

Thanks Doll! I love your blog too!! You guys should check it out.

I don't have pics yet of the new hair...Birthday Celebration #2 was fun...toooo fun and the pictures are ridic. So I'll have some from this weekend for sure.

A Million Thank You's and Crossing Over to the Dark Side

WOW...You guys sure know how to make a girl feel loved! Thank you SOOOOO MUCH for all the Birthday sugar!! BESOS TO YOU ALL-You guys are amazing! I'm sorry I haven't been around to show the love, but it's comin!

Confession-don't judge me-but sometimes when I'm out and about I'll be wondering what my dolls are blogging about...and like fiending to check up on you lovelies. I think I have a raging case of the fashion bloggers -"WHAT IF I'M MISSING SOMETHING FABULOUS?!" is pretty much my thought process. I just realized I can check from my phone...I think my bf thinks I'm crazy. WHATEVER. :)

OHHH a special THANK YOU TO YAMILA for her adorable post!! Seriously, it meant a lot to me :) You guys should check out her blog, she's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

This just amused me. :) Someecards keeps me very entertained.

So having a blog called UNBEWEAVABLE, I've felt like a total fraud posting pics of myself with....ughhh wait for it...ROOTS. Such a dirty word! FOUL! I don't know what it is...don't you guys feel the same way? Even if nobody else notices them, they make you feel just a teeny less pretty. I ALWAYS feel better after I get my hurrr diddd. I usually get a blowout if I'm having a crap day. No, no I'm not high maintenance at all....heehee.

I finally narrowed it down to one Hairspiration...Ms. Rachel Bilson. She's so hot, but we're talking about hair here strictly, people. So I'm going back to my roots! Dark brown. I prefer "Chocolate Brown" or "Espresso" but call it what you will.Just kidding, a girl can't have just one inspiration...I know you are all totally sick of hearing about my Zooey obsession but, sorry her hair rocks. This one is a bit dark so I'll end up the monkey in the middle, hopefully.

UPDATE...So I started this blog earlier, and now I am officially a BRUNETTE again! I love it! I'm going out for Birthday Celebration #2 tonight so I will be taking pictures so you can see and judge me! :)

Go Shorty, It's MY BIRTHDAY!

I'm 28!

Can it please not pour all day long? Baby Jesus? Please?

It's 2am and I can't sleep, I don't know why. I think I'm just really happy...I feel like I'm on VH1's Best Week Ever or something.

I just got off the phone with one of my absolute best friends ever, Chrystina. You know those conversations where you are just feeding off each other's absolute nonsense and laughing hysterically? It was one of those to the 20th power. I was crying from laughing so hard. An hour later I'm still giggling when I think of all the ridic things we were saying.

SHE, on the other hand has broken ribs, so yeah, all the laughter made her cry...out of pain! Laughter is the best medicine though, right? So in actuality, I'm a healer. Ha.

She's starting a blog! I'm so excited, as a lot of my non blogging friends read my blog (sneaky biatches :)) YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE and now they're getting on the train too. Sooooo meet Chrystina at Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust. She's just getting started, and like I said, healing from insane injuries but you'll LOVE her! She's also a M.A.C artist, her style is out of control haute AND she's my future roommate, so we can do fashion blogs together! FINALLY someone to take proper pictures of me! :) Isn't she purdy?

BUT ANYWAY, BACK TO ME...IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

I'm super stoked right now, life is good. 28 is going to be a fabulous year!

I saw this Polyvore set that I can't take credit for but isn't it amazing? I'm really feeling black and gold lately, and I think I can rock this out, I have a similar dress.

I have a few things on my B-Day wish list but really...

So we can go to Magnolia Bakery and get a damn cupcake. It's not just the Sex and The City tie in, either. They're legit. Also, Chrystina's and my 3rd amigo/bff Katie lives in NYC. We're trying to get her to move to Cali and live with us. I don't know what Orange County would do...there goes the neighborhood...

There are lots of shoes (Pink Louboutins!), handbags, makeup, products, etc that I want and I will get! But at the end of the day, I'm a lucky girl and my friendships are one of the greatest gifts I have. Including my new blog friends...seriously, YOU guys are A-MAZING and inspire me every day, so THANK YOU!

Playing Hooky

It's pouring raining again in L.A. So, being the responsible girlfriend I am, I have convinced the BF to call in sick, since I don't start my new job til next week. And tomorrow is my bday, so I'm definitely throwing that card.

So guess what time it is...GOSSIP GIRL. We're going to get the first Season DVD. Do you guys like it? I've seen bits and pieces but my old job left we with zero time to watch a commercial let alone an hour long TV show, so I'm excited.

I love Leighton's style too. Her hair color is unbeweavable-I need to get my color done SO BAD (thanks for not mentioning the roots in my VDAY pics haha), and I really love her color. I just can't decide on what color I'm going for yet...so in the mean time I guess I'll look like hell. :)

I just saw this picture and thought it was cute. I'm a big fan of Jeff Thomas and his oddly cryptic, but cute designs. Stay warm, dry, "healthy", and safe dolls! Heck, stay in bed with your lovah. That's my advice!

Fishy's, Mai Tai's, and a Fashion EMERGENCY

Dolls! You guys crack me up! Your comments on my last post are so cute and sweet! I'll be over to see what's going on your worlds tonight! Valentine's Day was SO FUN!! Ethan (otherwise known as "the dashing young man") took me to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Both being OC/LA people, we had never been there before so I was super excited.

It was lots of fun. Saw lots of fish! Of course being as consumed with fashion as I am, I'd see a really cool striped fish or something and think "Oh that would make a cute shirt", etc. Wait, not the ACTUAL FISH. The print. That would be weird.

Ok...the outfit. It's super tricky having strangers take pictures, right? I was on the hunt for people who I could tell would "get" how to take a good picture. Not so much. But we found this little cove and photo op...

Jeans, True Religion (obvi),Ruffly Off-White Chiffon Blouse-H&M, Black Motorcycle Jacket-Nordstrom, and then in other pictures you'll be able to see a vintage looking pendant and bright pink flower ring both from good old Forever 21. Does anyone else get amused by "vintage looking?" :) And I'm not thrilled that my jeans blend in with the rocks. I have some Colombian ass, but that's just ridic.

The pictures of my ensemble suck, I know. I was home alone getting ready and I'm not so good at taking pictures of myself. Def not up to the standards of you lovely ladies. I'll work on it, so stick with me. Anyone up for some lessons? :) My plan was to take pictures of the pieces individually today before I posted this blog, but keep reading and you'll understand why that is NOT AN OPTION! Ohhh nothing is ever easy.

So lots of cute fish, and talking and walking...and petting a few sharks and sting rays. P.S. Doesn't he have good style? As we were walking out, we see this bar...no joke, called "The Mai Tai Bar". He looked at me and said, "have you ever had a Mai Tai?" NOPE. I asked him, "have you ever had a Mai Tai?" NOPE. Done and Done! UM Mai Tai's are GREAT. Potentially dangerous fun juice! We thought it was fitting with our whole "aquatic/tropical paradise" theme. So we had another one.

Then we went to dinner in Newport, drove down PCH (again with the aquatic theme ha), and had a pazookie!!! A pizza that's a cookie? I'm going to become BFF with the gym again tomorrow but it's worth it, yo.

AND THEN TRAGEDY STRUCK THE BUILDING! MAY DAY!

We went for a walk on the pier in Newport to look at the moon and it was a tad chilly/freezing, so I zipped up my jacked over the ruffles.

Brilliant idea.

When I got back in his car and went to unzip...yeah, totally stuck. He's so cute he even tried to help...and then he mentioned "SCISSORS and CUTTING" and I kinda panicked, I really like this shirt. So now my jacket is permanently attached to my blouse. I'm hoping when I see my Mom she can work some of her motherly magic, but I'm super bummed!!

And all I'm going to say, because I'm a lady...I'm glad I didn't do the red lips :) Besos are better.

So, I caved. We're going to go see it today...I've been such a HATER about this movie but have been hearing good things. Lots of love...and if anyone knows how to untangle a delicate piece of chiffon out of a zipper, I'll send you some free M.A.C. or SOMETHING :)

Dream a Little Dream

Isn't this rad? Nothing like defacing public property to make a girl swoon! It's in a tunnel in Laguna Beach...I'm sure the cops have had it painted over by now but it was really sweet.

Happy Valentine's Day...again! :) I'm sitting here waiting for my nails to dry. The "Valentine's Day/Evening Surprise Date Outfit" has been decided upon! I hit Forever 21 this morning in a brief moment of panic /hysteria and got some cute accessories-pictures to be posted soon!

I'm going for if sweet met rocker chic and had a love child. We shall see...

The dashing young man gives me butterflies! He's so perfect he asked me today on the phone, "Do you want to start watching Gossip Girl together? It could be our show." Um, wait, what? How cute is that. Besos (blown out from the bberry, sorry) for the dashing young man! Real ones lata...ohhhhh haha.

I'm starting to feel like the video girl, but regarding my Zooey Deschanel post, some of you in the know mentioned her lovely singing voice, and I wanted to share my favorite because it's the musical equivalent of those pink LB's in my last post down there :)

Not only does she sound like an angel, but her makeup is so HAUTE and her hair is UNBEWEAVABLE-I'm thinking of going all dark soon and this is definitely my hairspiration.

Tomorrow is VALENTINE'S DAY! I love this holiday, Hallmark or not! I am SO EXCITED about my surprise date! The dashing young man and I had drinks earlier and I tried sooo hard to get some info out of him but he's being a tough cookie! Hmph.

I'm still struggling with what to wear, but I'm sticking along the lines of my below Polyvore set, but maybe with wedges instead?- because- AND I QUOTE " we may or may not be walking". UM THROW ME A BONE HERE! He's so cute I can't get mad at him though, and I've NEVER been surprised like this! I already told him we have to take lots of pictures for my blog haha!

I really want to wear a red lip...but I also want besos! :)
